CrewRadar ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CrewRadar mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and how you can access or delete it.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
Account information: name, email address, and password
Profile information: phone number, company or operator name, job title or crew role
Content you submit through the app, such as schedule entries, messages, and notes
Payment information, if you purchase a paid plan. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Information collected automatically
Device information: device model, operating system, and app version
Usage information: features accessed, actions taken, and timestamps
Log data: IP address, browser type, and crash or error reports

2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and maintain your account
Provide, operate, and support the Service
Respond to your support requests
Send service-related messages such as account notices, security alerts, and updates
Diagnose problems, monitor performance, and improve the Service
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We use third-party vendors to host our infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, and monitor app performance. These vendors process data on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data retention
We retain your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
Account and profile information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, this information is deleted from our production systems within 30 days.
Content you create in the app (schedules, entries, messages, and similar records) is retained for as long as your account is active and is deleted along with your account.
Log and diagnostic data is retained for up to 12 months, then automatically deleted.
Encrypted backups may contain your information for up to 90 days after deletion, after which the backups are overwritten and the data is permanently removed.
Payment and transaction records are retained for up to 7 years where required by tax, accounting, and financial regulations. These records are limited to transaction amounts, dates, and the associated account identifier.
Inactive accounts. If an account has not been accessed for 24 consecutive months, we may delete the account and its associated data after sending advance notice to the email address on file.
Once a retention period ends, we delete the information or irreversibly anonymize it so that it can no longer be linked to you.
5. How to delete your data
You can delete your account and the personal information associated with it at any time.
Option 1: Delete your account inside the app
Open CrewRadar and sign in.
Go to Settings.
Tap Account.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Option 2: Request deletion by email or web form
Email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." You may also submit a request at crewradar.app.
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request. This protects your account from unauthorized deletion.
What happens after you request deletion
We confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days.
Your account and associated personal data are removed from our production systems within 30 days.
Residual copies in encrypted backups are removed within 90 days.
Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes are retained for up to 7 years as described in Section 4. These records are not used for any other purpose.
Deleting your account is permanent. We cannot restore deleted accounts or content.
Partial deletion
If you want to remove specific information without deleting your entire account, email us at the address above and describe what you would like removed. We will honor the request unless we are required to retain the information by law or need it to provide the Service to you.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We respond to requests within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls limiting who on our team can view user data, and regular review of our infrastructure providers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities as the law requires.
8. Children's privacy
CrewRadar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected].
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality.
The CrewRadar mobile app uses local device storage to keep you signed in and to cache data for offline use.
10. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing it with your information.
11. International users
We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
